The Simmons Beautyrest Studio Georgetown firm is a step up from the Hermosa Beach in the Beautyrest Studio collection. It has a comfort scale of 3 which is more like a cushion firm feel. This means that you have a good firm mattress but it gives just a little to provide you with better support by contouring to your body better. The Georgetown firm also sits at a height of 8.5" for the mattress only.

If you are trying to decide between the Hermosa Beach or Georgetown firms it is really a coin flip. They both have a comfort scale of 3 and the difference in foams is very minimal. Really the only thing to decide on is the overall thickness of the mattress.

The Studio collection is a new collection by Simmons that gives mattresses a more sleek or streamlined look. The Studio collection is a great budget mattress. Simmons has used the famed pocketed coil system in the Studio Collection. Using the individually pocketed coil gives the Studio collection the motion separation and contouring that you have come to expect from Simmons Beautyrest. To give the Studio collection the lower profile look Simmons has shortened the height of the coil system.
